ORTHOPaEDIcs

'No feet, no horse', is a common saying in equestrian sports. Well adapted shoeing is extremely important for your horse's performance, whether it is a Grand Prix horse or a recreational pony. No person would ever consider running a marathon on high heels or tight shoes, right? The same goes for you horse: bad shoeing can lead to painful bruises, blisters and tears in the foot, or even stance deviations and articular problems.

On the other hand a well adjusted orthopaedic shoeing can bring relief to horses with painful chronic foot problems such as laminitis or navicular disease. Therefore it is important to imply both your vet and your farrier, so that they can combine their expertise to find the best solution for each individual horse.
